First, find the correct place card
Search for the business in Apple Maps before trying to add anything. If the place already exists, work from that listing instead of creating a second version of the same business.
If you are only reporting a missing or incorrect detail, Apple Maps has a reporting flow. If you want lasting control over the business information, Apple Business is the more complete owner-management route.
Use the business's real website
Apple's business guidance says the website displayed on a place card should be the primary website of the brand. When a business has a location-specific page, Apple recommends using that specific URL.
The practical rule is simple: submit the page a customer should reasonably consider the official online home of that business.
- Use the exact business website or location page.
- Keep the name, address and phone information consistent.
- Make sure the page works well on an iPhone.
- Avoid unrelated affiliate pages or generic directories.
Apple Business gives the owner more control
Apple Business can be used to manage location information, photos, categories, hours and other place-card details. Depending on the situation, the business or organization may need to complete Apple's verification process.
That deeper setup is different from simply helping a customer submit a website URL. A lightweight submission can be useful now, while full owner management can be completed later.
What Apple looks for on the website
A useful business website should reinforce the identity of the place card. The business name should be obvious, the contact information should be real, and visitors should be able to understand what the company does without guessing.
If a business has several locations, a location-specific page is especially helpful because it can show the exact address, local phone number, hours and services for that branch.
If the business is missing from Apple Maps
Apple Maps lets users report that a place or business is missing. A business owner can also use Apple Business to add and manage a location. The full process may require organization or location verification before Apple gives ongoing management access.
Where OnlyForTen fits
OnlyForTen customers can publish a real business website and keep the business details, branding and contact information together. The publishing plans include help submitting that website URL to an existing Apple Maps business listing.
Apple controls its own review and approval process. We help prepare and submit the right website information; Apple decides whether and when the change appears.
